Alex Castelli has been a software developer in the making since she was a Junior in high school and took a computer class to avoid another year of French. What she thought would be a course on Excel and Word, ended up being an introduction to Java. Alex’s path to a career in coding continued into college and she recently graduated from the Computer Science program at the College of Charleston.
While she is a skilled QA, Alex has had the opportunity to develop skills that allow her to work across both front and backend as a Junior Developer.
Alex is the Program Coordinator for CODEcamp, the community-sourced training program offered by the Charleston Digital Corridor to provide instruction in open source Web technologies. She is also actively involved in the group, Charleston Women in Tech. When she’s not ruling the CHS tech scene, you can find her practicing her horsemanship skill by jumping around a course with her horse, Qui.
