Call for Speaker Proposals Extended to January 16, 2017

Although we’ve had the call of speakers open for the past few weeks, many of you have informed us that the call wasn’t adequately announced. For this, we apologize. Today we’re happy to announce that the call for speaker proposals has been extended until January 16 at midnight (Eastern Standard Time).

What We’re Looking For

Syntax is a code and craft convention; talks will be focused on providing ongoing education for the developer community and an insight into what’s next. Topics will cover 3 main tracks:

  • Front-End,
  • Back-End, and
  • Platforms (content management systems, cloud-hosted services, mobile, and infrastructure development).

Of course, we’re always open to other suggestions. Sessions typically run 45 minutes, but we can accommodate longer sessions if you need to offer more depth.

Who Should Submit?

Whether you’re a conference veteran, a regular speaker or even if you have never given a public talk before, we’re interested in hearing from you if you’re passionate about development. We want you to add something to the conversation that will be happening at SyntaxCon 2017.

Deadline for Submissions

Proposals are were due at midnight [EST] on January 16, 2017. We’ll make our selections and announce speakers, sessions and schedule shortly after.

Encourage Others to Submit

Do you know of someone who belongs at SyntaxCon? Give them a nudge! It’s a win-win, really. They’ll be excited to present, and you’ll be a hero. One thing to know: we have a code of conduct that we require all attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff to comply with, no exceptions.

In that spirit, please help us spread the word as far and wide as possible.

Event Information

SyntaxCon brings together talented developers from around the country to share road-tested insights. This year’s schedule will provide content across 3 main tracks, each with a specific focus:

  • Front-End Development
  • Back-End Development
  • Platforms (cloud-hosted services, gaming, content management systems, mobile development, and more)

Attendees can customize their personal agenda by choosing sessions with an aim to improve their craft, fulfill goals, and learn cutting edge trends and best practices in a relatively short time.
