DataGrip Session and #TechGirlBoss Meet & Greet

DataGrip Session and #TechGirlBoss Meet & Greet

Syntax Conference proper (Sessions) starts in just two days, and we’d like to draw your attention to two items on our Thursday agenda.

Getting Started with DataGrip

During Lunch (30 minutes) on Thursday June 7, our Silver Sponsor JetBrains will share DataGrip: a multi-engine database environment with attendees.

DataGrip duplicates the database plugin functionality from other JetBrains IDEs such as IntelliJ, PyCharm, PhpStorm, Rider et al; and supports Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2, Sybase, SQLite, HyperSQL, Apache Derby and H2.  By targeting the needs of SQL developers, DataGrip makes working with databases an enjoyable experience.

More About the DataGrip Session

Syntax Conference 2018 speakers include several notable female software engineers from around the country; and local to Charleston, who have achieved a measure of success in the tech industry at large.  The #TechGirlBoss Meet & Greet was scheduled with the goal of providing a space where girls and young women; entry level and established women in tech, can network, share from their experience and encourage each other as they navigate a career in tech.

The Meet and Greet scheduled for Thursday afternoon from 4:30p to 6:00p is Free of Charge and Open to the Public (meaning attendance at Syntax Conference is NOT a prerequisite), all you need to do is show up, mix and mingle.

Location: North Charleston Marriott Compass Ballroom C,  4770 Goer Drive, North Charleston, SC 29418

About Syntax Conference

The Syntax Conference – more commonly referred to as ‘SyntaxCon’ – is Coastal South Carolina’s premier developer event. The conference is focused on fostering ongoing education among the developer community and provides language-agnostic sessions and talks across 3 main tracks:

  • Front-End Development
  • Back-End Development
  • Platforms (game development, content management systems, cloud-hosted services, DevOps, mobile development, and more).

The event brings together developers, both established and new, to discuss ideas, collaborate, network and socialize.
