Getting to Know Chris G. Williams – Speaker Spotlight

From a very young age Chris G. Williams, was fortunate to know exactly what he wanted to do with his life. After high school, he spent some time in the Navy, and transitioned into Technology Consulting. Along the way, he’s collected like treasure, degrees and certifications that speak to his passion and sustain his livelihood.

Chris is a wearer of many hats; each hat representing an area of expertise at which he has excelled. He is a Veteran Technologist, Consultant, Software Architect, Designer/Developer, Professional Speaker, Author, Technical Editor, Blogger, Trainer and Microsoft MVP with 26 years of industry experience.

The abundance of accolades attributed to Chris G. Williams boggles the mind. How does he find the time, or the energy to keep at it and be so prolific? It’s been said, that if you love what you do, then you’ll never work a day in your life. I don’t think Chris would go so far as to say he hasn’t worked a day in his life, but that he does indeed enjoy and love his vocation.

Chris currently holds the position of Senior Software Developer at Fluor Government Group, where he focuses on helping their clients to surmount business challenges. In addition to his work day activities, Chris is a freelance writer for CODE Magazine, and has published numerous articles.  He is a passionate gamer, freelance game developer, and author/maintainer of Heroic Adventure!  Moreover, Chris is a cryptocoin enthusiast, author/maintainer of the CryptoConnector open source project, an INETA Community Champion, and former INETA Board of Directors member.

When he’s not contemplating a game idea, or mentally reviewing the code in his latest project, Chris enjoys hiking, cooking and watching movies.
