David Pine has been passionate about computing since middle school, where he taught himself how to construct 3D models and maps for PC games such as Half-Life and Quake. His love of computers ultimately drove him to earn a bachelor’s degree Computer Information Systems (Engineering) at DeVry University. David started his career writing software for an emissions testing company Applus+ Technologies – where he focused on WinForms applications. He then worked at Silgan Containers as a Senior Web Application Developer before he transitioned to a consulting role with Centare. Today, David is a Microsoft MVP employed at Centare in Wisconsin as a Technical Evangelist.
David believes in giving back to the technical community; and has been a member of the technical board, and a primary organizer of Cream City Code for the last four years. David loves knowledge sharing – he contributes to open-source projects, StackOverflow, and actively maintains a personal technical blog. David’s posts are featured on ASP.NET, MSDN Web-Dev, MSDN.NET and Dot Net Curry. In addition, he speaks internationally at meetups, user groups, and technical conferences.
When David isn’t interacting with a keyboard, he’s either spending quality time with his family, or indulging his love of music (he was lead singer for several hard rock bands in the Milwaukee area for over a decade); or occupied with song- and poetry-writing.
