Speaker Spotlight – Nick Shepherd

Nick Shepherd, Lead Developer at BlueKey has ten plus years of web based software development under his belt, and extensive experience in the industry. With proficiency in multiple programming languages, Nick feels most at home in a LAMP environment, and enjoys designing and developing software architecture.

Nick spent his college years at the University of South Carolina – Columbia and remains an avid fan of the Gamecocks. When he’s not at a computer you can find him fiddling with his electric guitar, playing pool, and spending time with his wife, two children, and the family dog.

This Spring, Nick will discuss how to Trim the Controller Fat: Service Objects in Rails during his session for Syntax Code & Craft Convention.
