Stacy Kirk – Speaker Spotlight

For over 20 years Stacy Kirk, in her varied roles of software QA architect, agile coach, coder, and speaker has steadfastly advocated for, and facilitated quality and process innovation in software development, ensuring the delivery of progressive web, mobile, and enterprise applications.  Her experience encompasses diverse industries which include entertainment, security and healthcare; and she has worked with such companies as AT&T, Ericsson, NBCUniversal, Symantec, FedEx, Looksmart.com.

In 2010, Stacy founded QualityWorks Consulting Group, now a global leader in DevOps best practices in software quality, based in Los Angeles, California. Stacy’s consulting group creates tools, processes, and frameworks that enable businesses to accelerate software delivery.  QualityWorks’ available services include test automation development, DevOps integration, and Agile/DevOps coaching.  In addition, QualityWorks offers an Enterprise Integration Platform – QualityWatcher.  QualityWatcher drives digital transformation, accountability, and continuous delivery through the on-demand integration of automated testing, defect, performance, customer, and security metrics.

In 2015, Stacy expanded her field of influence by launching NodeQA.io.  NodeQA.io is based on the island of Jamaica, in the West Indies, and provides the Node.js open source community with expert advice and best practices in the full-stack testing of Node.js applications.

This Spring, Stacy Kirk will share how to Leverage Node.js for Mobile Test Automation during her session for Syntax Code & Craft Conference – Coastal South Carolina’s premier programmer’s code gathering.   SyntaxCon brings together developers, both established and new, to learn, discuss ideas, collaborate, network and socialize in an inclusive and welcoming experience for all.

This year’s schedule provides content across 3 main tracks, each with a specific focus:

  • Front-End Development
  • Back-End Development
  • Platforms (content management systems, cloud-hosted services, mobile applications and infrastructure.

Attendees can customize their personal agenda by choosing sessions with an aim to improve their craft, fulfill goals, and learn cutting edge trends and best practices in a relatively short time.
