Meet Trip Ottinger

Charleston, South Carolina based Trip Ottinger, over the last twenty plus years garnered both experience, and expertise that contribute to his efficacy as a software developer and programming instructor. Trip brings to the table a background in the design, implementation, and consultation of custom business software solutions across several industries including travel, medical, manufacturing, and entertainment.  He has worked at reputable companies like SolTech, IncEnterSolveShaw Industries Group, Inc., and Blackbaud filling various technical, training, consulting, and managerial roles.

Trip is an accomplished technical presenter; classroom and e-learning teacher with courseware development and classroom-based training skills and was a blog contributor to the Blackbaud Developer Network and Blackbaud SKY API.  In his capacity as Lead Developer Instructor at JRS Coding School, he currently teaches RESTful APIs, NodeJS, NPM, CouchDB, MySQL, functional JavaScript, ReactJS, and Redux.

About the Event

SyntaxCon (derived from Syntax Conference) is Coastal South Carolina’s premier programmer’s code conference. The event is a full stack code conference focused on fostering ongoing education and opportunities among the developer community.

This year’s schedule provides content across 3 main tracks, each with a specific focus:

  • Front-End Development
  • Back-End Development
  • Platforms (content management systems, cloud-hosted services, mobile applications and infrastructure.

Attendees can customize their personal agenda by choosing sessions with an aim to improve their craft, fulfill goals, and learn cutting edge trends and best practices in a relatively short time.
